I grew up in the Chihuanuan Desert, an expansive dust-laden landscape that inspired a love for hiking and trail running. I first stepped into a yoga studio in 2010, while training for an Ironman Distance Triathlon, and discovered the many benefits of Hatha Yoga as a compliment to my intense training schedule. Having struggled with a debilitating disease for many years, I credit yoga, trail running, CrossFit and time in the Franklin Mountains for my recovery. The inner Self is a truth-seeker; within my journey I have studied Buddhist principles, positive psychology, sound healing, nutrition, hydration, mindset, rest and learning the principles by which one can create a purposeful, passionate life in which to serve others.
I enjoy leading students through both challenging and restorative practices that explore the mind-body connection, breath awareness and the extension of yogic principles from the mat and into the world.
